Since her first international final at the 2010 Pan Pacific Championships, Katerine Savard has become one of Canada’s top swimmers. At the Rio 2016 Olympic Games, Savard swam the first portion of the 4 x 200 metre freestyle relay, leading Canada to its first Olympic medal in the event.
Over the past 10 years, Katerine has set several Canadian records in both butterfly and freestyle. She has won a gold medal at the Commonwealth Games, a gold medal at the Pan American Games and a gold medal at the World Championships. The swimmer also completed the butterfly segment of the 4×100m medley relay at the Commonwealth Games and Pan Pacific Championships, helping Canada win two bronze medals.
In addition to swimming, Katerine has made her debut to cinema. She will play the lead role in the Nadia Butterfly movie, which will be released in the summer of 2020.
